Dorothy was only 16 when our mother died. She said many times that as the oldest in familiy I had acted as a "mother" to her in those difficult times.
During her time in Long Island I visited her often and she came up here. Later, we took a trip to Nova Scotia and later, another to Montreal.
She was the "sparkplug" in our family with her many activites and she leaves a void so deep as to be irrepairable.
