This site is dedicated to a fine naval vessel and the crew that manned her. As owner of this site, it is my intent to keep this a 'work in progress', adding new imformation as soon as it becomes available. To that end I would like to ask for your assistance.

The Putnam was my first ship and I was on board for over 5 years... right up until the day she was towed away after being decommissioned.

Putnam holds a special place in my memory as, I'm sure, with many other people.  I would like to keep that memory alive.
